Never say never man. Locks only keep the honest people honest.

Great topic Matt. For those of you listing what you pay for insurance w/just a number you really have to name the year, model and disp of the sled you are insuring as well. The amount of your deductble also plays into this as well as whether you insure for all or just part of the year. I pay (probably too much) $275 for liability, fire, theft, and collision on my 07 MXZ Blizzard 600HO SDI and $148 for the same coverage for my '04 Supersport 550F. Both of which carry a $500 deductable. This is through State Farm. This works out to $417 a year or $34/mo. I insure the sleds year round. Looks Like I will need to make a few calls. Polarisracer55...I am definetly going to need your agents #!!!! $100 a year for full coverage for an 07 IQ 600???? Really?????

I pay zero dollars a year. After ten years and with the sled only being worth a grand, my gamble has paid off.

I reject your reality and substitute my own.

Yea, great topic ACM! I always thought insurance for a sled would be a lot higher. Being able to suspend is a nice option. If you own a quad runner, maybe you could suspend one then the other for 6 months each? Intereting thought...

$0. My dad pays for it since he's an insurance agent for Farm Bureau. I help him on the farm in exchange for him paying my insurance for my sled.

I need big jugs on my sled, cuz my girl doesn't.

Whoever doesn't have insurance I think should get it. I wrecked last March, and I payed a little over a thousand out of pocket for all cosmetic damage and labor fees, and where the dealer is a good friend he got me the best deal possible. I'm 15 and I don't make much, but its still got to be a lot of money to pay for someone who has a full time job.

Couldn't have been that bad of a wreck if was only $1000 after labor. I banged my sled up the other day and it was about $800 Bucks. I did all the work and many of the parts were secd. hand, left over.

I pay $28 for liability (NYS required) only. My sled is old enough where collision did not make it worthwhile. The insurance is cheap because it does not pay medical expenses for you if you get injured. That is a big part of the cost. State Farm with multiline discount

So does full coverage protect you and the sled in any problem. Do you get what the sled was worth if you smash it?

For me it usually runs anywhere from $80 to $100 per year per sled with State Farm for liability and comprehensive insurance.

Here in Pa its reqired to have insurance if you are riding on state property, none if on your own. I have a 95 zr580 and I just got it insured through State Farm. Liability alone was $63 and there were several diff. options for the collision and Comprehensive part, all depends on how much of a deductible you wanted to pay the less the ded. the more exp. per year. I have a $250 ded. and it's $111 dollars a year, $111. + $63 =$174. per year, I also have all my vehicles, life, homeowners etc.. with them so I think there was a discount for that. Oh, and they wanted to know what the sled cost new (MSRP)! Didn't give a crap what its worth now, and also need to know the H.P. rating. In all get insurance like the others said at least liability and cover others property if you destroy it, CHEAPER THAN A LAWSUIT!!!!
