Hi,
I hope someone in here can help me, I just bought a 1996 Polaris Indy Touring Sled, but my brother in law does not know the specs e.g. is it 440cc or 500cc.
It's got two carbs and takes oil in a container, so I'm guessing it's liquid cooled, for the most part it runs great idles very well and starts with just one pull.
On top of all that I don't have the manual for this sled either, so I have to Order it.
Can someone please help with my questions...

Thanks.

Is it a indy trail touring? Not sure if I have the same year sled sitting in my barn, but the engine in that one is a 500 liquid cooled. If you can get some pictures on here, that would help out a lot.

488, on the right side by your foot should be a decal that identifies the model. The first two digits are the year.

Yep, 488. Your model # is 0972262. Check this link under OEM for part #'s, prices and a great way to ID parts & their location. http://www.babbittsonline.com/pages/part...fault.aspx
