BR9ES and nothing hotter. If you foul them you have other issues and yes the lower the number on NGK plugs the hotter they are.

So you are saying that I could create problems running the hotter 8 plug?

Thanks...I do not have the owners manual for this sled. What is the "P" designation? Is that different that the BR9ES?

Run what your manual says to run! There is usually a sticker under the hood with these specs too. If you don't have a manual, go get one. If you listen to half of the donkeys on here you'll wind up in trouble.

The front half?

Run whats recommended for the heat range.
may want to try some BR9EYA's, less prone to fouling

Ha thats funny if you care so much that you spend 1 dollar more for 2 of the plugs...so it will cost you a dollar fifty more for eya plugs then your in the wrong hobby lol. Its cheap insurance man.

I have that same motor with the flatslides in my 2000 Triumph. It didn't like the NGK plugs at all. Fouled a bunch of them before I went back to the stock Polaris recommended Champion RN2C plugs at half the price.
Never had a problem after that.

well if your jetted correctly and the carbs are syncronized then fouling out a ngk plug shouldnt be the issue. i ran NGK's for several years and never had a fouling out plug issues until my xlt wasnt tuned correctly.

I'm jetted 2 sizes down from stock(360's to 340's)and raised the needle clips 2 notches from stock. Carbs were synced with my friends carb vacuum gauge.

That is pretty much the safest I can go on the motor without running an EGT gauge.
The thing is that there is no direct crossover plug for a RN2C plug. The NGK br9es is close, but not a direct crossover.

br9es is what i have always ran in my sleds. i just have good luck with the ngk plugs. i even ran that plug in my 1974 AMF Harley Davidson 440 snowmobile and it ran like a champ.

although i had to run 8's in my 81 yamaha srx. my moms ex bf was a racer and we built up one of those 440 srx motors that liked to blow up and kill ppl, and we rebuilt it at the shop. they only made so many of them till they recalled them. but mine was a full out raceer.

the only thing i ever liked champion plugs for is my push lawnmower and or maybe my garden tractor.
