What year? If its older you can just unplug it (black wire) And she should run fine

Well if your sled is an early model Indy then it's easy because they all use the same crappy little indat (sp?) key, even some old Cats use the same key. A new ignition isn't that expensive either. Or you could unplug the ignition.

Polaris has 5 different keys, numbered for 1-5 with dots on the rubber part of the key. I can't remember if its on the side with the star or the side that says Polaris I think its the side that says Polaris and its underneath it. Easiest way to find out what key you need is to go to a dealer and ask if they have all 5 keys in stock or if they have all 5 from new sleds you can try, take the sled or the ingnition with you, and then order a new one. Some dealers even have extra ones form sleds that they took on trade and then parted out.

Ok well then you can order on at your dealer or ask around here and see if some one has an extra from an old sled they don't have anymore. Another place you can try is Royal Distributing or Recreation Supply, but you will have to buy the whole ingnition, they don't carry just the keys.

yup everything should still work, except of electric start. all the ingnition is on most sleds is like the kill switch it just grounds it out so it can run, unplugging it just by passes the ground and allows the current to continue on and the motor to run.
