At the beginning of this season I cleaned up both clutches, replacing both springs with stock and new buttons. I am running at around 8700rpm's. The spring somehow jumped out of the hole and messed up some stuff. The helix was scared, and we put a straight 38 in. Of course, I don't have the hole shot that I had, but the mid and top end are great. I believe that stock helix is a 50/38 anyway. My brother gets me off the line, but now it now pulls on my brothers 600 till around 65-70, and he SLOWLY goes by. What can I change so he doesn't pull by me anymore, and that I can take him out of the hole. Thanks!

I have played with a buddies 03'. You really need that dual angle helix.

I had a XC500 in the gen2 chassis, I tweaked my clutching myself and got it to run real strong. Here is what I did as best as I can remember, Primary I went to about a 1.5 gram heavier weights, with a little stiffer spring (I had an engagement around 4,500 to 4,600 rpm), On the secondary I had a progressive helix 48-36 (or there abouts)with a little stiffer secondary spring, I believe it was a Polaris silver. That engine's mid range hits like a 600/700 mill, and some of them you can outrun.

Does anyone know if that setup, or something that will work on a 94 efi?

I messed around with the clutch on my GF 96 Indy 500, it pulls pretty good, back shift is a little slow. I'm pretty sure the helix was a hot seat 42/36, I put a Polaris Light blue in the primary and kept the red in the secondary.
