I have had an account there for over a year now and have found it to be a good place to buy repairable cycles, sleds, atv's. I've never had a complaint about the place. I got the revised account rules and they have changed drastically as of Jan 1. Now, if your a current member your required to pay an annual fee of $100 just to keep your account open, a $25 per item gate fee, new account members are required to pay a $200 fee just to open an account. This is on top of the the percentage you have to pay when the auction ends which I believe is 25% of what it sells for. Needless to say I called them today and closed my account. Not really trying to rant about it, just dissappointed with how greedy they are getting. Anyone else deal with them? How do you feel about the new rule changes?

I am guessing that is some kind of Auction place? And for those prices the only need I see for it is if your gonna fix up those sleds or ATVs or whatever and then re-sell them for like a few hundred dollars more then what you put into them.

If you cant fix it with duct tape, tylnol, or band aids your screwed.

I don't have an acct. there, and after hearing about all the fees,
I probably never will. Used to check them out several times a year,
just to look at other peoples carnage.

We have gotten tons of stuff from there, 2 snowmobile, a boat, and a motorcycle. We are really upset with what there doing to the place now. There trying to get all the money they can of the buyers. (Also if you have ever been there, in the shop they got a bunch of really expensive cars like lamborginies (sp?) and stuff!!!). Latly we have been staying away from them, they were a great place to buy crashed toys, but they just ruined there self.

I've only been to the one in Stillwater, awesome people to deal with and a very nice place. Just getting way too greedy.

Ya and now there is that rediculus seller premium. And the buyers fees now are insane. When I bought my sled fron there I had a bid of 1900 and the buyers fee was only like 150 bucks. Now it would be bout 400. And 100 bucks to keep your account open is 100 bucks a year and to open one is 200. Thats frickin rediculous. Soon there wont be anyone on there to buy there ****. I know I would never pay 200 for a account to a auction site to get one sled.

They are really nice people up there though. All the times Ive dealed with them it was great. its a real nice facility as well. Of course Ive only been to the stillwater one. The Eldrige site looks kinda bomby tho.

I was hoping to get a motorcycle there this summer or maybe a quad. But with the extra fees its almost impossible to get stuff cheap enough to make it worth it.

Yeah its really too bad, I was looking forward to buying another sled and hopefully another bike from them. It use to be an awesome place to buy stuff from and wasnt that hard to get something cheap. I talked to quite a few people today that have bought things there and they have all closed their accounts. Same reason I quit selling on Ebay,,,Greed!!

I've been watching the site for the last couple of months, with plans to buy a new project with my income tax money. I guess I won't be buying it from them if there gonna chage $200 just to open an account that I'll probably only use once. I guess they don't need my money.

crankyape or recreational salvage have way better deals too. I watched crashed toys for a long time and wrecked sleds were selling for the same price as ones in good condition on craigslist.

I just found out about www.recreationalsalvage.com last night. Only about an hour away from me in Detroit Lakes, alot closer than a 4 hour drive to Stillwater. Looks like a pretty decent place and will hopefully be buying some stuff from them...

We've bid on alot of stuff there but never bought anything. The major prob is they go off at such random times. THat was the good thing bout crashed toys that it went at 12.

I'll have to check it out. The part I didnt like about crashedtoys was that they all ended at noon, so if you were bidding on more than one auction it was really hard to keep an eye on them. From what I read on their changes, they are going to be ending auctions at different times so they dont all end at noon.
