After 14 years, I was let go from my job yesterday. Boy, is this gonna blow trying to find another one. Not a lot of hope in finding one that will pay like that one either. Oh well, they did take care of me somewhat and I have a few months before I am completely hosed. I am remaining optimistic. Others have survived this and we will too.
On the bright side, MORE TIME TO SLED!
2006 Polaris 700 Fusion (Mine)
2006 Polaris 700 IQ Classic (Wifes)
Yeah - I think I can make it up that!

Man that sucks! Not much worse then losing your job. I wish you the best buddy. I'm trying to get in to a new field of work cuz I've pretty much hit the top of the pay grade of my line of work. It's hard cuz not a lot of places looking for help these days. Best of luck man.
What's your problem? RUFWM?

jeeper1 - what did you do?
I watched alot of good people loose their jobs today. My work had 1600 workers. In the past few lay offs we have lost 400 from our area alone (we have plants all over the country/world).
Today, they went after salary workers again. I was so scared and still am. I work for an automotive supplier and the big 3 are our big 3. Some of the people let go today were there 20 years and great smart workers. Very sad.
I got moved to a different department. I am a designer.. but at the moment I am working on electrical schematics for the building and energy cost reduction.

I was the Corporate Quality Manager for a bentonite mining company that supplied foundrys (which of course supply automotive) as well as oil-field, cat litter, ect. A bunch of folks where let go the same day.
In a couple months somebody might get a smokin deal on 2 '06 sleds and a new Triton trailer. There may also be a Victory Kingpin for sale.
I hope my spelling and grammer meets with flatlander_summits approval this time.

You forgot a few commas and spelled grammar wrong... lol I am just kidding.
Hey man sucks about the job hope you can pull through and never stop providing for the family. Everyone here supports ya.
Recognizing that I volunteered as a Ranger, fully knowing the hazards of my chosen profession, I will always endeavor to uphold the prestige, honor, and high esprit de corps of the Rangers. Acknowledging the fact that a Ranger is a more elite soldier who arrives at the cutting edge of battle by land, sea, or air, I accept the fact that as a Ranger my country expects me to move further, faster and fight harder than any other soldier. Never shall I fail my comrades. I will always keep myself mentally alert, physically strong and morally straight and I will shoulder more than my share of the task whatever it may be, one-hundred-percent and then some. Gallantly will I show the world that I am a specially selected and well-trained soldier. My courtesy to superior officers, neatness of dress and care of equipment shall set the example for others to follow. Energetically will I meet the enemies of my country. I shall defeat them on the field of battle for I am better trained and will fight with all my might. Surrender is not a Ranger word. I will never leave a fallen comrade to fall into the hands of the enemy and under no circumstances will I ever embarrass my country. Readily will I display the intestinal fortitude required to fight on to the Ranger objective and complete the mission though I be the lone survivor. Jeeper keep your head up and hopefully you'll find a job. I thought at work we were doing ok, abit slow but still ok till last week when they fired one guy and we were told that 09 is projected to be very lean and if we don't meet certain goals that its not good at there will be alot more layoffs. I was looking to upgrade trucks but i think i'll stick with no payments for awhile. My sister lost her job last fall and still hasn't found a new one yet so its a tough deal out there right now.
I spend money i don't have, on parts i don't need, to impress people i don't know.
