U know tooooo many people bitch about what they think they know unless you own a 800 and or have seen the issues /// or it has happened to you..... stay out of of it they are a great machine. Most of the people that have had issues are in the mts/////// long tracks /// Oil Type and or they start them and run the **** out of them right out of the get go. On another note yes the upgrade is a plus with the wider bearing and I am all for that///// If I ever do a tear down of my engine I will do the bearing upgrade just for the extra protection /// my upgraded mods//// I have had no issues with the last 15 plus machines I have worked on and all the owners have been riding for yrs on many different machines //// all I can say is they all love there machines.........
If you feel you want to vent then vent in a pm / e-mail or something else unless you own 1 of these machines stop talking
$hittttttt PERIOD>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> There is always something wrong with one sled or another from all different manufactures some do good on there fixes /// pay some don't Period have a good night Sorry for venting

Wow just wanted opinions, not a fight. I have a line on a non ves xc800 lower mileage pretty nice shape. i was thinking if i get it to have the bigger bearing installed for precautions. Im not a fan of an 800 unless its a triple, my dad has one and so does his buddy. they both have slp single pipe combos, and clutching etc and both runs very strong IMO, but idk if i can handle the vibration all day. I think the 800 is an excellent engine except for the vibs. Just dont let this topic get outta hand with a twin vs trip debate since i said what i did.

I don't notice the vibrations at all on mine. I also have the slp setup and clutched. It's by far the best (most powerful and quickest) machine I have ever owned (96 XC 600 triple, 01 RMK 700 136"). I would jump on it if I were you.
I need big jugs on my sled, cuz my girl doesn't.

Not trying to start a fight but I don't like being told I don't know what I'm talking about. I was just saying that I don't really like them motors myself. I like the XCR triple much better. But that's just me.

I dont think anyone said you dont know what I'm meaning / you// of what you are talking about...That is your opinion that you don't like the 800 twins as like some others' like what was said before there are issue's with just about anything you buy.......... nothing is perfect doesn't matter what you have

On The RMK it was the nut that holds the water pump impeller that had backed off, and on the blue edge it was a bad coolant bottle

I had a 2001 XC 800. It had 1400 miles when I bought it and I sold it with over 4000 and it still ran strong and is still running today. I also know somebody that has one out here with 6000 miles and no issues. I think it was a better and stronger engine than my current XC700............JMO!

I have a 800 XC 2004 with over 1400 miles on it. I think I ride it like a ***** compared to some people I see...
Just kidding I ride it aight
No problems yet...
Although once I am going 80+, it kind of "rumbles". Must be the balls Maybe theres something wrong with it. I think now I need new shocks...or something. Need softer ride. Damn...
Work tomorrow...workin the ghetto-up
