Took a little sled ride today with the wife
and some friends up at Paulina Lake.
The weather up there was AWESOME and the
riding was great despite the cruddy snow.
In the parking lot I had to snap some pics
of these sleds.

There's a gnarly hillclimb that goes up to
the top of the Obsidian Flow. It's almost
straight up at the top. You have to get a
good fast run at it and keep the throttle
PINNED. Just be sure to let off as you get
to the top so you don't catch FAT AIR and
land on the ROCKS!!! You have to STOP QUICK! >>>
Me getting ready for the climb. I topped it 3 times >>>
Wife said "You make it look easy." I said... "GIT SOME!!!"
Braappp!!! >>>
After the big hillclimb we found a smaller
hillclimb. My friend TJ and I topped it.
It had a vertical lip at the top that was
kinda gnarly.
TJ and I shut off the sleds and chill. Off to the
corner of my eye I see a crazy snowmobiler
hauling booty and then crash and tip over.
I say to TJ:
"WTF? Look at that crazy dude over there!"
Turns out it was my WIFE Kim!!!
She's new to snowmobiling (1 season) with ZERO
hillclimbing skills. Plus, she's riding a little pud
1996 Polaris "INDY 500" - not a hillclimbing rig!
Anyway, she RODE UP THE HILLCLIMB and was
then trying to avoid a BIG HOLE while riding on
a side-hill and tipped it over. Ha ha!
AWESOME!!! >>>
Oops! You can see the rock-filled hole of DEATH >>>
My wife is NUTS! Yeah. Atta girl. Get some! >>>
View from the top >>>
No way! Kim's gunna do it AGAIN!!! >>>
She made it without crashing! >>>
Then one of our buddies tries it. It's his FIRST TIME
sledding and tips it over at the top >>>
He's right on the edge and it STARTS SLIDING BACK DOWN!!!
TJ and Shawn JUMP ON THE SLED and save it! >>>
Obsidian is still poking out. We need more snow! >>>
