It's late. I don't have the energy to do a report just yet.
125 miles done on the SF group ride today in Tug Hill.
Here is a picture that should keep you guys interested in the rest. Every time we go out we promise adventure. Not to disappoint.
Before anyone worries. It wasn't one of our guys, but had we been 30 seconds faster he would have taken one of us out sorry to say. He should be all stitched up by now and OK.
Story coming tomorrow.
Guys, I got a directory set up for the group ride. Please upload all of your pictures to that. You should see it at the bottom when you go to upload a picture. This will keep them all in one area to look at and find when we need them for future ball busting!!

OK so lets get this started. I got 10 mins of lunch break left.
Me and EMTP579 get up there about 10 mins late because of snowplows and crappy roads. That is ok because some others are not on time.
We all head out and I am still feeling that grinding sound from my suspension I just put together. xxxbraaaaapxxx and I were the last to hit this big snowbank. We both hit it in the same spot and came down on some hard rock or something on the other side. I thought my ski was broke haha but it wasn't. Turns out, he broke a motor mount. I didn't get a picture, maybe someone else did. Anyways he and MDmaniac got the sled back home (we were a mile away) and he got a back up sled.
5 miles later we are at a gas station and I am looking at my suspension, the shock is under the axle instead of over. I also have 2 bend support rods now. Great. We have to head to pick up some other guys so we head there. I have an axle wearing into my shock.
xcrxlt tells me to get it in his garage and lets get her fixed. 20ish mins later it was repaired to ride. Rods still bent of course. And of course, mdmaniac and thewayout had to start taking pictures like they were at a porn shoot and mobile uploading them to SF.
XCRXLT136 and ACM wrenching on the ZRT before takeoff
ACM wrenching, say it aint so toto!
Thanks to the help of some of the guys, the tools, and the heated garage it wasn't a big deal. Thanks again guys!!! Especially xcrxlt.
Crap, the photouploader is not working. To be continued..

^ That was not what I was thinking. It was crazy, we pulled over because Matt wanted a picture. It looked like a solid trail. When we got done, I started forward and just slid to the right and ended up where you see. Turns out that there was a hidden ditch there and I got just a tad too close. It was a 3mph mishap! My first thought was "Oh crap, someone is going to take a picture of this and post it." Fortunately Matt got stuck worse later so he had to be nice haha. It was a fun day, but seeing the guy that bit it on the trail was a good reminder that anything can happen.
Rob - at least there is a nice shot of my TTS sticker!

See, showing pride gets you out of everything! I have been having a problem staying on my sled though this year - usually low speed mishaps!

Thankfully the motor mounts are pretty easy to replace. I had to do one of mine this summer, and the hardest part is getting to it.
I think we should put some names the these pics so we can tell who is who.
Ride looks like fun! Wish I lived closer to NY.

^ What one? I have more pictures to upload. Been busy. Check out this.
I interrupt this ride report with some new damage pictures.
We are starting to look like the MN boys.
Just tore my skid out.
^Money shot one. Bent shock arm and bent support arms.
^ Money shot two. Notice the worn metal and broken skid. I think my track clips were wearing into it and that was part of my grinding when hitting bumps.
^ No big deal thank god! Its a new track! It is till fine. Thank god I am fixing it now and it didn't continue.
^ Worn more on the left side because that is the broken weldment side.
So, nobody can say I was babying the ZRT! If its not broke your not riding hard enough!
Ok.. working on the rest of the ride report now.

We headed out and came across these guys stuck trying to load. They flagged us down for some help and the guys gave them a hand. Looks like they might have been ice fishing somewhere.
We then stopped at the pines for lunch. Thats xxxbraaaapxxx in the red and polaris91 behind him. Polaris91 said he brought some JBquick for me !!
No idea what was going on here. We came across a few vehicles on the trail, this one got a little off trail. Don't know if they were allowed to be there or not.
Group shot
working on more...

And we keep on truckin.. trail shot Trails were fast and smooth for the most part. Remember that picture I started the thread with, the bloody guy. Well it appears he was moving a little too fast and hit a bump that would have been ok at 40-50 or so. He ended up rolling it for 50 yards. Here is the cool part. Dan (emtp579) is a paramedic. He had some gloves and someone else had paper towels. Not much you can do with that but Dan did his best to try and stop the bleeding. Blood was everywhere. I had a picture of the shield but I can't find it. I will post it when I find it. It looked like maybe the handlebars hit his shield and put a big crease in it, that in turn broke it and it cut his face to the bone. Lucky dude! Here is a picture of the side of the trail compared to my sled. Deep stuff and in some spots it was even more than this. It was awesome!! It seemed like you would lean into a corner and drag your knee into the snow, then you could go left and drag your other knee on the other side just for kicks. Now I think we were at flatrock. Far away from the start point. Maybe 60 miles away? These windmills are huge and take up the landscape for miles. Yamaha was doing demo rides here. Some of our guys went. I was going to. I asked the yammi rep to let me ride whatever they had that was fast, he said sorry we don't have anything like that.... I kid I kid!!! More coming.... Quote originally posted by thewayout440 i didnt know half of these pictures were even taken Cuz I am that quick with it Johnny law was there checking registrations and stuff. more windmills at flatrock xcrxlt and the sherriff my zrt a little stuck Back at flatrock we noticed the sled xxxbrappxxx was riding had a broken spring. Well shortly later it had 2 broken springs! Now we are at highmarket sports. Thats where I had to have my track installed last year if you remember that mess. More coming..
