WAS WONDERING if any other PROX 2 owners out there might have a photo or know where I can find a photo, taken from the drivers seat that shows the handlebars and controls?
All my controls (reverse, beams, warmers etc)wiring seems to be exposed along the handlebars and I was wondering if maybe the guy I bought it from removed some sort of cover when he changed the handlebars. OR anyone know of a cover wrap type deal kinda like an ace bandage (black) that I could use? I'm just always worried I'm gonna catch a wire with a glove or something and then mess it up.
Any help appreciated

I'd use electrical tape if you are worried about ripping them off.

I need big jugs on my sled, cuz my girl doesn't.

on my 04 pro xr 800 all the wires are exposed exsept for a pad which is right in the center but that only covers where the riser bolts to the handlebars. i jsut zip tie the wires leaving them a bit loose so they can move. ive never had a problem with catching the wires with my gloves or with branches. im pretty sure all your sled should have is that little pad

04 Pro XR 800- slp can, vforce3, chrome windsheild, carbon fiber front bumper, diamond plate skidplate,
97 XCR 440- vforce delta reads, 1.25 xforce track, m-10 suspension, clutched, geared, 2 in bar risor, new windshield

my 700 Pro X2 is the same way, I just have it zip tied in a couple spots. I've also never had a problem with catching anything on the wires. I'm sure you could get some wire wrapping stuff if you wanted but I wouldn't worry about it.

If you're lucky enough to find one, you could get a handlebar cover from a 2002 Pro X 440 Fan. I'm pretty sure that was the only Pro X that had a full coverage handlebar pad.
Here's a pic of the 02 proX fan handlebar cover on my old 600 Pro X. I wish I had kept that cover when I got rid of the sled....

my brain hurts
past to present:
71 AC Lynx, 2000 340 Deluxe, 2001 Edge X 600, 2002 Pro X 440 fan, 2003 Pro X 600, 2006 MXZ 550X and now a 2004 Pro XR 800

That pad looks like a good idea. Have to search me out one of those...

Thanks...

Thanks to all for your input. Looks like zip ties for now.
And a big thanks to likinit2...
That photo will be a big help in putting the controls, wires and lines back where they were
on the handle bars and on the steering post. Mine were all over the place.
I also searched handle bar wrap and found I may be able to use bicyle bar wrap, Could even serve to dress it up with all the colors and such they have available. Again thank you every one...
