Drop brackets won't help either of those. If you are bottoming out you need to either adjust your suspension to a stiffer setting or get your shock rebuilt/replaced. About all drop brackets will do is lift the rear, they don't give any more travel to the suspension.

Clutched
Jetted, boyesen reed petals, boost bottle, 98xc carbs slides, 1371 needles, gutted air box
Homeade 7 1/2" riser
Homeade suspension drop brackets
shortened and blackened windshield
powermadd handguards
144 conversion, tracks usa extensions, custom tunnel extension and rear bumper, IQ flap, 1.25" track

Yep, dtmmil is right on. I fabricated some drop brackets on my XCR in order to get more running board clearance in the deep stuff after I extended it. I also drilled out and dropped the front skid mounting down to the lower holes in the tunnel. It is a experimental line there when you change the geometry, as I had too much pressure on the back end of the track, with paddles digging in...it did not want to turn like it did before. Aggressive ski's and carbides help though...If you want to wheelie, take the front limiter strap out of the skid, you should get all the weight transfer back if you hook up well enough.

Like 98xc700BB said, they will lift it up if thats what you want to do, and it depends on which brackets you get, but generally about 2" up and its enough. I don't agree with taking the limiter strap out all together though, you could spear the track with the front of the skid, you should be able to let them out some, but keep an eye on where the fronts of the skid are.

I guess I should have wrote that better...I meant what dtmmil said about loosening the limiter straps, he's correct. I will also mention that if you do this make sure your track tension is correct and the guides on the front of the skid rails are in good shape or not missing. I speared the track on my old Indy 600 while breaking trail on crusty snow because they were missing. Tore out 2 windows...
