My brother and i were riding in a large hay field, racing, carving ect. ect. and when we got back i went to call my wife and the cell was gone. I went back to the field with my truck and walked around for quite some time following tracks. I happen to notice a hole in the snow next to the track i was following and sure enough at the bottom was my phone still on with two voice mails.

I lost my skull key-chain once, didn't even know where. In the spring one of my little brother's friends gave it to my little brother. He found it in the 18th hole of the golf course we ride on, apparently he thought my brother would like it so he gave it to him. Nice to have it back!

I lost my gps once. I back-tracked about seven miles and found it.... still on and in working fine.
What sucked was that everything on that trail looked like a gps. Every fallen leaf and stray wrapper.

My friend lost his GPS yesterday, after high marking and trying to turn out, he hit a sneaky rock and it launched him off the sled. After that, the sled proceeded to roll down the hill about 18 times, and it threw the GPS off into the distance...into 16" of fresh powder.

I'm pretty sure the lost GPS is the least of his problems.

Dad got 2 new blackberrys this spring because his nextel quit, and his verizon was old and sucked. He couldnt find a case that would hold his Nextel in, so it wouldnt fall out. When we got hit by the wind storm he was cutting up some trees, and it fell out. He didnt notice it until we moved on. We looked and never found it. The neighbor was walking back to his house, and somehow saw it in a bunch of weeds, and gave it back to dad. Later that day we were cutting up more trees, and his phone went missing. Never found it, so he got another one. Needless to say he hunted everywhere for a good phone case that would hold his phone. So far he hasnt lost his phone.
A year or two ago we were riding some back roads outside of Gaylord, and came up on a broken down snowplow blocking the entire road. They were working on it, but it wouldnt start. So dad set off across a field to make a path for us to follow. He went, had it pinned, and dissapeared into the ground. He found a 10 foot hole in the field, and his sled went straight into the side of it.
Today we were riding around, and headed back to my house(i was with my brother and his wife, and we rode out from there house). We hadnt ate lunch yet so dad said lets go into town. We only have 3 sleds here, so dad took the Ranger. He was on the sidewalk they put in from town out to the park. I was behind him and he started getting sideways. I thought he was just playing around. Next thing i know he is sideways, shoots down into the ditch, comes up, the Ranger goes sideways and is balancing on 2 wheels, it goes down on all 4, and nobody is driving it. I saw him lying next to it. All i said is you shouldve been wearing a seatbelt. He just about lost it 3 other times, so he called it quits. Ranger+not true 4wd+10 inches of snow on a road=no control
So far we havent found anything that interesting on the trail.

All this talk about people lossing cell phones reminds me of when I lost mine. I didn't losse mine on a snowmobile but a golf kart. Was goffin off on the golf course got home went to call a buddie no phone. I raced back to the course jumped on a kart started at hole one. Raced around the course for an hour or so befor i finaly found it.
when in doubt throttle it out

I lost my wallet in Michigan riding. Never did find it, then one day there was a package at the door, about 4 months later, someone found it returned it and only took a buck for postage! That thing had pick marks all the way through it but I still use it! .

I was grooming once and someone called so after I was done talking I threw my phone on top of my coat next to me on the floor. A little while later I had t get out for somthing and picked up my coat and jumped out. My phone went flying out and I didnt know. i proceded to run it over with the groomer and a couple houres later my cousin found all three peices and it still worked.
