does anyone else with this sled have a problem with clearance when they open the hood? whenever i open the hood, the hood and console always hit my brake lever and handlebars.. i dont know why it does this? its not like i have the bars set forward or anyhting, they are actually set back somewhat.. does anyone else have this problem

Dude that sucks. Yeah, most of the 04 440's will have a blued waterpump gear. They flubbed on the enginnering on that setup, and you have to mod it if you want the motor to last a long time.
The PTO crank bearings are probably OK if the isoflex was still packed in decent. But yeah, that lower rod bearing looks pretty toasted, and probably your cylinder, piston from the PTO side as well.
