I have been thinking about getting this sled over the weekend, and time is runnign out and I still cant decide. It is from a dealership with a 30 day warranty. The description says 2001, but it looks like a 2002 chassis with a 200 700 RMK engine put in it. I want to be hitting up the steep and the deep, and jsut want a super fun sled to ride. More than anything I dont want a money pit. I want something that will get me out in the back country and never leave me stranded. Woudl this sled be, or does it seem, Reliablie? Your thoguhts?

I would just want to make sure the whole deal works with the chassis and the engine. That engine is a great one, i have 99 SKS 700, which is alot like it, and the sled loves the deep powder, great mountian sled.

Awesome man, that is good to know. Is there anything specific to really look at/inspect when I go see this thing? Like I said I just want a reliable sled.

Mileage, motor mounts, track condition, see if it runs good. that's what i can think of right now. Try to drive it, even a little, before you buy it, to see how well it goes.

Not sure I will have to hound him for info. But I have found that it is a 2002 edge chassis, the sled was an 800 but he put that engine in another mod sled he was selling, and put this 700 he had on the shelf in this frame. I will try to see how many miles are on the motor, but the more I learn and find out the more I like what I see. I am going to try to get more than a 30 day warranty since its the end of the season, and that really only means about 2-3 riders for me at the most.

The only thing with the 01 chassis that i can think of is the bellypans were made a little underpar and were prone to cracking and breaking.

I talked with him on the phone and had him check the chassis and he said its a 2002, which I hear is a good improvement over the 2001.
