Well I see that the Polaris Forumn had their discussion on what new sled Polaris would bring to the world of sledding and I see a lot of happy sledders and some that will not warm up to the sled ever! To be honest I don't know if I'll like it till I ride it because that is the only way to tell.
Putting that all aside, February 10th, 2009 @ 12 Pm est time Yamaha will release their new sled for next year. So Far the only picture that has been released is this on Yamaha Sled Talk.
 2010 Yamaha
The only thing left to do now is argue about what it is . But really I've stared at the picture for a few minutes and I have no clue what it is. There is obviously more then one sled in the pile. To the right of the picture I can make out a sled that shares a tailight much like a Viper with a handle bar and windsheild set up much like an deltabox II chassis. With all that smoke you'd swear that Yamaha had brought back 2- Strokes but we all know that would never happen. Apparently Yamaha has test ridden this sled on the Six Star Snow Riders Trail system in Parry Sound Ontario so it has been out in public. So we have 3 days left to figure out what this new beast will be wether it be something totally new like the Polaris Rush or just another minor update. Let the Pipe Dreams begin!

First why would Yamaha never bring back a 2 stroke? Yamaha is NOT a 4 stroke company, they are a $$$ company and they will make what thye think will sell best.
Im hoping Yammi joins the HP war by releasing a turbo or supercharged sled in the 180hp area. I suspect they will just add a couple HP and BNG to the Nytro. Then they will really be able to kick ass in the 600cc class. I also read in AmSnow that Yammi may put their fly by wire throttle control on a sled this year. Would be cool to have a electronic controlled throttle.

I am not sure if it is a mistake or not, but, yesterday, on the Canadian Yamaha site, they did not list the 162" Apex in the mountain class. As shown in the link, it is still available, so I think it must just be an error.

Yea I noticed that also it is not availible on the Canadian site, but the american site does list a 2010 Apex Mtx. However the Nytro Mtx is offered in a 162" track and it has fox floats all around which is something that has never been done.
Well I think I'm gonna go for a Vector LTX GT for next year. They put the Nytro motor in it now so it has a little bit more power and its fuel injected finally. Updates on the Monoshock skid which FINALLY include wheels that you can actually change the bearings on. New hotter bar grips are another thumbs up.
New Vector beats the old Vector in lots of different drag lengths and is pretty close to the 09 Apex also.

It's obvious Yamaha has something bigger to come in the future as they didn't really make any industry first moves for next year. They are sitting on some secret waiting for it to be revealed. Yamaha doesn't usually bring out any products unless they are ready because they don't like to disapoint.

The Vector has been in the DBII chasis since 08, it has the original RX1(Viper) style taillight.
