I have a 1998 XC700 and i need to put new pistons in it. i want to know if there is a cleanish way of draining the coolant from the motor. the only thing i could think of is to pull the bottom radiator hose.

I know it makes a big mess I put a drain pan under the sled and use a small one to catch whatever I can after removing hoses I wish there was a pump or some trick to keep the mess down.
