Well, made the first trip to the UP, Twin Lakes, MI to be exact. What can I say but NICE. Wish we would have had more time to ride, most of the days we rode were in the 30's. Kids really loved it, daughter couldn't figure out to stay on the DAMN TRAIL! It almost makes me want to live up there.....if one could find a job. We stayed at the Yooper Lodge with 10 people. Nice....what can I say other than 70's green shag carpet. I don't really know if I would stay there again, considering the price we payed, could have stayed at the new Lodge there in Twin Lakes and had a Hot Tub and Pool for the kids as well. The riding was excellent, I was very surprised on Saturday we rode the 109 trail and never seen a snowmobile for about 2 hours, was nice. We are planning to make it a yearly thing from now on. Thanks to the UP Snowmobile Clubs....you really impressed us with your trail markings and groomed trails.

Cool, we are leaving Friday and planning on staying in Gaylord. But we are going to ride to the U.P. I love riding in the U.P. There is nothing else like it. Hopefully there will be some snow this weekend so it isnt a ****ty last ride.

The UP this year has had some of the best snow it has had it years. In paradise, they got 2011 inches of snow to date. Its some beautiful riding up there. If you get the chance, go up riding near lake gogebic and Iron Wood. It's a long drive but the trails are amazing. We usually take a 4 day weekend and ride from Newberry to Iron Wood and back. The trails up there are like a snowmobilers highway. Its hard to go under 50 on those trails. Its beautiful riding and I highly suggest anyone to get up there and ride.

Right now it looks like riding in the woods may be ok, just getting there may be the problem as most dirt roads are clear. With the exception of some hilltops and open areas, the trails seem to have held some of their base

I heard this morning that we are going to get cold again, with a few inches of snow tonight and some blowing and drifting snow I sure hope so, my brothers are coming up to ride this weekend and I would hate to cancel.

The snow is going fast so hopefully the cold temps coming will bring snow too. The farther west you go you should have more snow.
