Can you put a price on your safety??? Moto x protector is for roosts of dirt not full frontal impact.

Motocross protector is not the same. I would go into detail but a search will yield the information you are looking for.

Tekvest FTW!

I've never boughten the cheapest helmet. I was with one of my buddies when he was helmet shopping and he walked up and told the guy @ the dealership, "Show me your cheapest helmet" and he bought it. I couldn't believe it. After cracking a helmet I will never go cheap again on one. It wasn't even a cheap one I cracked. After that incident I went with a Fox V3 helmet, made out of carbon fiber and Kevlar.

To whoever gave ACM a -1 on his post, go do a search for his thread from 2005ish about his accident. After reading, you'll understand "spleen splitter" and think to yourself, "what if he was wearing a TekVest?"

I think they're a worthwhile investment. Don't skimp on protection. I'll be looking into one this Summer.

I would probably wear an XL, is that what it is? What do you want for it if it is an XL?

I started wearing a tekvest this year. I don't feel safe without it on anymore. Sometimes I wear it to work. Sometimes I wear it to bed. Better safe than sorry I say.

I used to have people come in to buy a helmet for their kid. "Can't you get a cheaper one?" they'd say. I said you bet, figure how much your kids head is worth & I'll find a cheap helmet to match.

Helmets & armor are CHEAP insurance compared to the alternative. Buy the best protection you can afford. I have 3 or 4 smashed or cracked helmets hanging in my shop to remind me what could have happened.

I got a TekVest this year (the snox approved one) and use it every time I ride. They might cost a bit, but it's better to have the protection for when you need it than to skimp and end up not having it when the bad time rolls around.

A vote from me for getting a TekVest.
