Fuel gauge reads 1/2 full when tank is topped off - 2001 XCR 800 fuel gauge only reads half full at full tank started by XLT580kid

	Hey guys, just bought a 2001 XCR 800, my only issue so far is the fuel gauge. When I top the sled off, the electronic gauge only reads the tank as being half full. But as I ride the needle drops and eventaully hits the E when the tank is still about half full. Any help would be appreciated. 	Your sending unit inside the tank got messed up at some time. I am not sure whats in there, but I would guess theres a float on an arm, it probably got bent, or maybe your line into the tank is sitting so it rests on it. I would say you need to pull it out and see whats up.
