For 4 years every winter i looked in my neigherbors yard and saw this sled sitting there feeling bad for it, till this winter i woke up one morning and just went over and asked what he was doing with it. he hadnt even uncovered it or touched it for 4 years!

The front skis were under 3 inches of frozen dirt but the back was raised(thank god) NO MICE OR SQUIRREL DAMAGE. that is amazing to hear that in wisconsin, ur lucky if they dont get in it over just one summer. Bought it for $100 straight up and dragged it behing the Atv to my garage. after changin the gas and getting the oil off the top of the pistons(he knew he was parking it so he put oil on top of them) it ran but on 1 cylinder, the other one had a broken head bolt, changed that and the carbs were gunked up and had them completely redone. so after about a total of about $400 this is what i have and it runs like a champ!

just the other day i had to change the fuel filter b/c its had a ton of crap in it but now its fine again.

But honestly for a first sled and being on a very tight budget, this is a nice sled!

It is in very good condition for sitting for 4 years. Welcome to the site.

thanks guys

my plan for the summer is to clean it inside and out and work out a light bug(dims every now and then).

also to add,
My neigher also gave me a new windshield, clutch pivot bolts, clutch weights, suspension adjuster block, repair manual. clutch puller, high altitude jets, a new belt, and a bogie wheel with it

Pretty sweet, the extra stuff he gave with the sled is worth more than you paid for it.

Nice find! But how does a new head bolt and redoing the carbs cost $300? Did you buy brand new carbs or something?

well with the new head bolt and head gasket and 2 new air boots and rebuilding the carbs does cost a lil bit. also had to get a tether but that was cheap so i didnt really pay much attention to that. I just made an estimate with EVERYTHING i put into it like the registration and such

I just put a bunch more pics in my gallery, i dont feel like putting them in my post so if you'd like to see them, go to my profile

well the only way it looked diff is that it was really dirty lol and there was a lot more frozen dirt on the skiis, thats about it.

the only part that i need of as of now is a voltage regulator, lights dim and go bright while riding but its pretty cheap to get a new one
