Triples are awesome engines from fuji. So are periods in sentences!
1971 Puma big mouth single
1976 MERC ICE TWISTER, 340, piped
1975 KITTY CAT
1983 CROSS COUNTRY, 660 triple
1998 XC700 RMK, piped, clutched
1998 XCF440
may not able to fix stupid, but you can modify it.

obviously that dealer is an idiot.
the second 1 was constantly in the shop and never ran great
obviously that shop is an idiot, if you can't tune a fuji triple you shouldnt be working at a dealer.
also just recently we towed a guy who broke down and guess wat the sled was a polaris triple just wondering if this is just me thinking their bad or has anyone else had bad luck with them 2
it must be them two, chances are if you buy two used sleds and they are crap, its not the sleds fault its the previous owners fault.
plain and simple fuji built great engines for polaris and is the big reason polaris got off to a great start, and that is why polaris went back to fuji for the atvs again. some day if we are lucky polaris will go back to fuji on the sled motors as well.

What sleds were they? There were some that were tempermental, but many that were good. Alot of it also depends on how they are maintained. I had one, had bad luck with it and got rid of it for a different sled, just my experience. Others have had GREAT luck with them.

There prob the most reliable sleds out there until you start moding them then you start having problems.. Like putting trip pipes on is the biggest headache with carburated systems..

How do you compare a used sled to a new one ? The original owner no doubt have his fun ( WFO ) with no problems sold it to the next guy who drove the _hit out of it. Off loads it to the next person who now has the problems. The sled with the problem how old is it? And are you still driving a car that old ?

Hey, thats funny, I would much rather drive an older car than a newer one!!! I had much better luck with my older cars, and better gas mileage.

This car is way more fun to drive
Than this one.
The lincoln is nice for long drives 4 hours + but the fastback is fun all the time.

Like anything there are plus's and minus's. For me I have had twins and tripples over the years, and they all are good in the right context. For me the sweet ones is my 1996 XCR 600(654)and my brothers 1978 RXL 440 (Steve Thorsen's World Champion Eagle River Sled). Triples ARE AWESOME!!!

I had a 94 xlt sks w/ slp pipes etc.(from day1) was set-up and tuned by a polaris racing mechanic. I hammered hard for 8000 miles. sold it running still. all it needed was a new clutch. it had never been apart or even carbs cleaned. never summerized. i have a 97 ultra spx(my spare) w/ 5000 miles and its piped from factory. never been apart and this one rips also.
if you tinker with something that you dont know what your doing, you are more than likely going to have issues........
my dad always said "if you tinker w/ something long enough your bound to break it" and "its the short circuit between the handlebars and the seat"
