Can someone post me a picture of the battery on their sled and where all the wires go? I have a positive wire coming off the electric start going to the battery and I have a black wire coming off the battery but dont know where it goes. Also have a black and red wire that goes to the heated shield hook-up.

Thanks in advance, and if anyone cares it's going on this sled(i'll post updated pictures when it's done [])

    That'll buff right out...

The hookup should be the same as my 05 edge 800 with elect start, I'll snap a pic when I get home from work if you don't have one already.

I got all the wiring figured out, and the starter spins, but the bendix won't come out. I don't believe there is anything electrical in ther that will push that out, just a spring. I can bring it out by hand but it won't come out on it's own. Any suggestions?

    Thanks

Silly question, is it spinning in the right direction?

Also take the starter out and clean the post with a mild solvent, DO NOT LUBRICATE, lubricant will atract dirt and bind it up (again)

Another silly question, does the battery have a GOOD charge?

Also, are the connectors clean or corroded. You may have the proper voltage at the battery, but if you can't get the needed amperage through a bad connection, it will not work.

So you're saying you don't need the pics I took last night? KO, I won't bother uploading.

The only solenoid for those starters, is by the battery... The starter itself does not have one.

Yes, it is spinning in the right direction, but it didn't have a good enough charge on it. It's all charged now and works just fine. Thanks
