graphite slides

    I saw that they make Graphite slides for track are they worth it? (or should i just get the normal plastic slides) Do the graphite slide wear better or do they last longer?
    Thanks guys i was just curious when i saw them online.

    They last longer and can withstand higher temps. I used them on both of my sleds, including my 151x2 RMK and rode some pretty hard trails with no scratchers or anything and they held up great. I have had the same set for 3 years. Granted i do have scratchers now and use them whenever i need to.

    Ok for a couple bucks more ill get the graphite ones. Still dont full understand what ice scratchers do but ok

    They throw snow/ice up on your heat exchangers and your hyfaxes benefit to.

    ive used them on every sled i have had to replace slides on, well worth the extra

    Do they last that much longer?? I normally get 3 years out of my slides. I put on about 1000 on average.

    I read that they don't heat up as much, last longer and are a little better for the track. I'm going to be giving the graphite a try this year. Dealer quoted me $25 a slide for plastic. Online I can get plastic for $10 and graphite for $15 a slide. So I figured why not give it a try.
