I'm almost embarrased to ask but........ [LOL]

My Amsoil guy was not home today so we had to go to the ski-doo dealer to pickup some chain case oil. He wanted $24 for a 8oz bottle of their oil. (24 x 2 plus tax = $51). He said I had to use it or risk blowing the chain and case. I asked if he was on some kind of drug.
Ok, in the last 20 years I have never heard of that.
    The sleds are a 2002 Summit and 2004 Renegade. I'm not a ski-doo rider so.........the big question [?]

    Do ski-doo's use special oils?????
Can I not use Amsoil chain case oil like every other sled????
Or is this just another case of dealer ripoffs.?

Any of you Skidoo riders out there, what do you use?

you can use amsoil in them, I've always used ski-doo oils though. Really debating on making the switch to amsoil though, just haven't brought myself to do it yet.

I've used Amsoil in my sleds the last few years with no problems. I'd say they're on crack, and feel free to run what oil you please.

I figured it was a bunch of BS. I'd love to support the dealers but when i get info like this, it just gets a guy rev'd up. Since these are not my sleds, I just wanted to make sure.

    thanks for the replys
