    1992 Indy 500 SP EFI

Hello, first I want to tell you that in the ECU I have chip FSM762, is this the right one?Engine serial number is 9104431 and prod. number is EC500PL00711664. I dont have the enrichment switch, my sled is acting like the "automatic enrichment switch"/choke stays on! When the sled is cold it does not bog and idle rpm is at 2400, when its warming up it starts to bog (you can get rpm up, but then it bogs down) and idle goes to 3000+ rpm. Also I tried to disconnect the air box temp. sensor when the sled was warmed up and the problem was solved for like 1 min then it started to mess again. By the way there is coming little bit of oil from the start of y-pipe. TPS sensor is adjusted, 450 ohm at idle and 4900 ohm at WOT. Battery is good, CDI, spark plugs and gaps are also new. ECU is flashing codes if I disconnect any sensor. The sensors are okay (I think) at least coolant and air box temp. sensors! Please help me, thanks!

FSM762 is a 1993 chip. I know that they added a battery saver circuit around that time, but dunno what year.

My bet is that mrholmquist knows better than me.

Can this be the problem? And what else could be wrong? Thanks!

I checked the sensors again, last time I just looked that ohms are changing, when warm/cold. Coolant temp sensor: 100C 190ohm, air temp sensor: 20C 500ohm and -5C 555ohm. Is that okay? Please help, snow is here and I can not ride!

Well... I just found out that my ignition switch wires were connected wrong, it was priming all the time in the "on" stage. So I connected the wires like they should be (one connector is still free on the ignition switch, in the below row the right one). The idle went better and it was not bogging so much anymore, but still was.But now the fuel pump stops working when it gets warm and the "ready" light goes off. But I can always just turn the switch again to prime and the "ready" light comes on but just for few seconds. When I switch the wires back to the "priming all the time" then the "ready" light does not go off, but bogging and Very high idle! I read in other threads that it can be the wrong chip, causing the fuel pump stopping problem. I think that the problem is caused by wrong chip and bad coolant temp sensor! But I still wait for help. Thanks!

Some good news! Tested the "self shut off relay" and this was bad. But now the bogging, can someone tell me what resistance coolant temp and air box temp sensors should give?

Okay, I now got new relay but still turning off, when I jump the R/Y with R/B then I can ride forever. Can this be caused by wrong chip? What is the chip for 1992? I dont have the "enrichment switch".

You have a 93 ecm and or chip in your 92 sled. It is programmed to look for the signal from the "ACS" which the 93 sled was equipped with. The 93 was wired differently and used the ACS to maintain the signal to the SSO relay. The ECM's are the same year to year but you need to install your original chip. FSM752

Thanks! But can you tell me, why I have low rpm bogging?

Not with out more information...... so does it run fine otherwise , no codes , does it bog with the track off the ground? What is the clutch engagement RPM?
Ohm the case temp sensor the coolant sensor and the air temp sensor all at room temperature and report your findings.
