ok it will start every 10 mins once it cycles so what does that mean just curious
It sounds like the exact same issue that I was having with my 92 500 EFI. It would run fine for about 5 to 7 minutes or so and then just die. If you let it sit for about 10 minutes, it would start back up and run fine again for about 5 to 7 minutes again. It turns out that someone replaced the 92 ECU with one from a 93. The 93's time out the self shut off (SSO) relay after about 5 to 7 minutes to avoid accidently leaving the key on and draining the battery. I fixed mine by just adding a toggle switch to bypass the SSO relay. The relay is located by the right foot well. I would have to get back to you on which wires to connect to the switch. But first, you need to pull the cover off of the ECU box and check to see if the right chip is in that sled for the correct year. I've attached a ROM identification sheet so that you can find out if you have the correct one or not.
If the relay is bad these will work. Just need to find a way to mount them. Airtex Access Relay 1R1227 Brand New
