    X-Treme,
Where are you at with your clutching now? Have had the 98 primary rebuilt or found a combo to get the 02 to come out of the hole better? Wish we were able to ride yet.

I never bothered with my new clutch. I'm going to see if I can get it figured out this week because we are planing on have some fun runs this weekend and would like to have it back at 5500. I will be taking it to my mech. I have a bullseye on the back of me you would swear lol. I have a cltuch from a 00 XC 440 and I have 5000 enguagement with it. I believe I have to remove spyder shims on the 02 clutch to get my enguagment up so. As far as the set up it is both HSP White springs, how it was when I first got it. I may go back to my black primary tho, have to see.

Ya know? This winter here in Minneapolis was so ****ing depressing. Either too cold and no snow (hence the motorhome 800), or snowed like a bastard (700 with a Rip). Not once, not ****ing once did I get a shot at the 440 in the arena I wanted. All I wanted was a cold saturday with no wind and a good ride with a couple hooligans tearing up the twisties up Bemidiji. Dudes like Skipponator. **** no, I didnt get it. My big bling was 20 minutes on a private lake. It was pretty cool. Thick smooth ice with 3" of untouched crusty powder. You could do controlable 1/2 mile long arc powerslides at wfo, blip it and you dont feel it. Did about 20 of those. That was it.

Now winters over. Im pissed, it went too fast. Still got to ride and had a pretty good winter. Met alot of people. Next year will bring something else.

I hear ya, Zrx. This winter was tough, at least I didn't pick up the 440 until January. Fortunately for me, I live a couple hundred feet from a river. Not sure if rivers are made for XCRs, or if XCRs are made for rivers- either way, it's a blast in the tight stuff.

Bikeman Performance is sending a quote my way on a 600 or 660 kit. It requires upper case mods and new carbs, so I'm probably going to pass and get the Wiseco kit. They do offer porting and head milling-which kind of surprised me. Seems like there's not much left to do, with 90+ HP already. I can see porting, maybe, but wouldn't head milling put it in 110 octane territory?

I smacked a short, cut off stump when there was only a little snow- bent the right side trailing arm a little and wasted the (steel) ski. Any recommendations on skis- stock or aftermarket?

From what I read, either C & A or SLP Powder Pros for skis. I was going to go with the Powder Pros but I bought a brand new set of Polaris IQ 440 snowcross skis on ebay. Going to try them with a set of 6" shaper bars that I also bought on ebay. I'll let you guys know how they work out.

I need to replace my front torque arm this summer. I'm hoping to find a good used one as new ones are over $150.00.
