Could be PSI, I know they made a cylinder reed monoblock motor. I have a Indy 650 based motor that PSI built that is cylinder reed induction. SLP also made a 650 based cylinder reed motor called a RZ 707.

Nope, both the Ultra and the XCR 600 SP (agg chassis) were a reed induction motor (through the crankcase), but each cylinder was its own, these motors later developed into the infamous XCR800 triples poo last produced in 2003.

I wonder how they'd work in the old XLT...humm! [^][1237]

I've heard that slp made a kit to convert the piston port fuji 500 twin to a reed valve motor. I don't see why it couldn't be done for the 600 triple too. I certainly don't know these motors inside and out like some members do though. I think it would be an awesome upgrade though. How about ves as well?

Why retrofit when new motors with reeds and ves (with lots of R&D behind them) are made everyday.

Because these motors were built before case reed induction and VES on stock sleds thats why. And 9fingerjeff is correct, SLP also had a RZ cylinder reed motor based off the 500 fuji motor.
