    I just thought I would post some pics of my 1972 Yamaha GP292 Race sled. I race it in Single cylinder Stock. What do you guys think?

    I remember the Yamahaha 292GP being very competitive on the oval track too...in their day. I would expect them to be competitive in any vintage racing. Especially if it is a one lunger class which would exclude Deere's 295/S!

    Yeah one of these won a Eagle River(ice oval races) this year in the MOD single cylinder class.

    hows the 292 run against the sachs?

    It will beat the 290ss and 340ss sachs but not the 340C. One of my friends, older guy, can build a YAMAHA 292 engine better than anyone else. It was the fastest single cylinder sled at eagle river last year but the sled didn't turn at all. My dad is buying the sled and will race it a Eagle River next year.

    ski-doo211 are you or anyone else in here interested in a 74 yahama gl292 it runs needs a little work if you want to restore but it would make a perfect racer and it does come with another machine for parts .i'd like 300 for both obo
