Does anyone aave a sure fire way to loosen up piston rings that are stuck from sitting for years? I finally got the piston out of the cylinder after soaking it and tapping with a wood block. It was covered with a white corrosion. The piston and bore are excellent. The rin gap is excellent too. This is a 67 300 skidoo engine out of an Alpine. Any help is appreciated!!! Mantabill

personally i would find some sort of oil or penetrating lube and let the piston soak in it. If that fails you could always just buy some new rings if they break. They are pretty inexpensive.

use a torch and heated up the piston the rings should almost fall out. Be very careful not to get it to hot because its hard to tell when aluminum starts to melt and once it does your screwed
