BRP's customer service and lack of info on recalls. Posted March 15th 2008

I purchased a new 08 renegadeX Xp and i love it.But lately i'm kind of second guessing myself.I am hesitant to go on a long rides because of all the problems other people are having with their XP's.For ex.:driveshaft breaking off,trax coming off,chain case issues,overheating.. and the only problem that i had was the drivebelt blew apart after 700 miles, I was trying to keep up with one of my friends and his girlfriend on their 07 apex gt.And the only thing that the dealer said was that i shouldn't be driving my XP with a passenger on with me, after he sold me a two up seat for my XP...The other problem that i had was the hand and thumb warmer never worked since i had her,and the dealer or BRP never notifed me about the recall until i went to the dealer and told him about it.He told me that BRP was tring to figure out the problemBut that i had to wait.Meanwhile i had to drive my sled in -35 weather until thenOne month later they resolved the probemAnd now i read that their admitting to all the issues that owners are having and that there will be fixing it for their 09 models but what about the 08 modelsBRP customer service are saying that they never heard about any problems other than the hand and thumb problem,what bunch of bull..itAnd the dealer just don't give a sh..tAnd by the way i said i love my sled, it's a good ride compared to my old faithfull 91 polaris indy trail deluxe,that i bought new,and that i still use today with the same motorI don't know why i didn't buy a polaris or another brand.BUT I tested them all,and at the time i thought that it was a good sled with the weight and hp ratio. Can someone get back to me and tell me their experience with BRP THANKS
