Yamaha Vector

I am surprising my husband with a new Yamaha Vector for Valentines day. He is really a Polaris man at heart...owns 2 but I am not particularly fond on Polaris dealer and want to try something new. Anyway I purchased this Yamaha to have it delivered this week. BUT I heard my husband say that the only thing he wasn't sure about with the Yamaha is the fact the rear suspension only has a 11 inch something and the Polaris is 13 something and he isn't sure a Yamaha would have as good of a ride because of this. So he is sure if he was to get a new sled it would be a Polaris. (He is wanting to try a 4 stroke and is a guy that likes bells and whistle.. reverse / elec start) so this is why i picked the Vector GT. Can anyone tell me why Yamaha all see to have the 11 inch whatever as oppose to all the other brands seeming to have the 13 inch and do you think my husband is going to be disappointed i didn't get him a Polaris?
