It's in the ballpark, but it it was me I'd wave 1600-1700 cash under his nose.

Are the 00 600xcsp's good sleds? Bulletproof? Do they have common problems I should look for

Pretty solid sleds. Check for worn out shocks and heim/ball joints and radius rod bushings. It should have VES so thats a plus. Check chaincase lube color and just a general lookover. I would never pay that much for a Gen II polaris but thats me. I got my 01 XCSP 600 which is in an Edge chassis for hundreds less than that and it's absolutely mint with a new track last year.

I personally wouldn't pay over $1500. Look for an edge. Can get a newer sled than that for $1800.

I just bought a 2001 Classic 700 2800miles for $1800 (with reverse and Xtra12 with electronic adjust shock) Offer him cash$1600 and show him other sleds on craigslist that are cheaper.Name: 700cl.JPG

2000 Polaris XC SP 600 snowmobile, I am the original owner and currently has 4420 miles. Has electric fuel gauge, reverse, 96 carbide picks, storage cover and heavy duty rear torsion springs. Has always been stored in doors and is in excellent to very good condition. This has been my daughters sled since 2006 and has had limited use during that time. This is a very fast and nice handling snowmobile. Name: polaris 2.jpg

I have a buddy who is trying to convince me to buy 2001 ski doo formula 700 for $800. in very excellent shape. i prefer polaris myself and want to keep my XLT for a little while longer. so like xcr440 says around 1500 is pretty reasonable.
