    New ride

Just put money down on a 15 550 Indy 144 LXT.
Should be a big change from my Edge 800, but we need the second seat for my son to ride with us.
Anything to look out for on the new sled?
    Thanks!

Just make sure you break it in properly and it should last. Just bought the 550 Indy myself. Can't wait to get on the trails. Enjoy it.

Don't ride it like an old lady at mid range all day or you will burn the motor up. Ride it like a man.

Anyone know if I'll be able to shoehorn it into my 10' clamshell?
    Fingers crossed!

It is, but the ski tips can extend into the top, it'll be snug!

Your thinking of the early 2000's. they did run very lean in mid range, but I have come to find over the years that the cause was not a carb lean condition, but a heat problem with the Edge style exhaust pipe. If you put an older straight, skinny fanner exhaust on it, problem solved ! fyi the newer fans don't have this issue !
