    wonít rev over 3000

    Hey guys looking for some help Iíve got a 90ís super sport 440 LC and it starts to bog around 3000 rpms and will idle fine not really sure where to start the carbs have been cleaned fuel replaced spark plugs replaced about 30 miles ago both look to be burning the same compression is in that 125-130 on both cylinder any help is appreciated

    Ok a few questions
    Will it rev up with belt removed?.. if yes . clutch/ drivetrain problem

    Did it rev up before carbs were cleaned? If yes, go through the carbs again

    Has it been sitting long? If yes.. possibly rusty stator

    I have checked with the belt off and no change. It did have this issues before the carbs we cleaned but I just went through them again both carbs and jets are clean it has 35 pilot jets and 230 mains air screw is set at 1 1/4 out it does sit a lot only has 500 miles on it would anyone have any specs for the stator and coil

    Check your exhaust! I've seen a few older sleds the internal guts of the muffler come loose internally and block flow. Might have to pull it off the sled and see if it rattles.
    Give me a set of handlebars to hold on to and get the hell out of my way!

    Air box have a rodent nest in it? Silly question I know but it happens....
    Polaris...it IS the way out!

    Thanks for the help and ideas guy I got it figured out last night kind of stupid but the ignition was unplugged as soon as I plugged it in sled ran without any issues I’ve got a few miles on it now still no problem runs great

    That happened to me last year.. i thought my fuel injector as fried. Turns out the plug cap failed..
    It's a good idea to change your plug caps as preventative maintenance every couple of years.
