[The scratchers we use are made by Holtz. We installed them on all four of our sleds and have run with them down for well over 1000 miles, without a problem. They have all but eliminated clip and hyfax wear for us. It is better to put them up when you get off trail to the steep and deep or for jumping. They will bend a little if you forget to put them up, but we have never had a problem with them getting into the track, and it's not a problem to tweak them back into shape. We run two Vipers and two RX1s. I talked with one manufacturer who planned to develop ski scratchers but I haven,t looked into them because the ones we have have worked so well.quote=originally posted by SRXSRULE]
I've never used the scratchers I was worried about them getting caught up in the track whenever i forgot to hang them up and such. Me and my father have both discovered a problem with both my viper and his SRX though. All the track clips are paper thin and have concaved in the middle looking almost "U" shaped. The clips are so thin they heat up really fast and turn blue quickly. So i have to reclip my track because the track is like new and i don't think i want to bother buying a new track and 144 new studs washers etc.
