    I found a good used jug. I'll slap it together and see how she goes. If the piston and ring looks good, maybe use it. I did however get a good used piston and rings too so maybe I will just swap out that so its OEM 100% on that side.

    really kinna common on that engine mine went thru two jugs before i wised up and replaced all the seals and a carb,its a fun while it last motor lol

    What was wrong with the carb that you replaced it? Just a precaution? My El Tigre has all new seals and gaskets.

    Make sure that the not just the pto and mag seals were replaced and that the center seal was replaced.

    In researching the T7 motor and asking around, center seal problems were non existent in this motor. The outside seals of course needed replacing over time, but I guess the center seal which was a disk with 2 O-Rings never had problems. I guess the center seal issues were very common in T1 Kawi motors from 71-73.

    had a down draft manifold and carb laying around less time to rebuild and got a few more ponies on top.yup and agree that jug looks like it was wasted before , thinkin yer bro friend just popped a piston in there, unless both cyl compressions are close and equal,that little motor wont run fer crap, and its yer call i would not use that piston when u replace the jug
