    73 Polaris identity

    Need help finding serial # &/or model number decoder ect. I did find in shop manual listed on some site for one but I'm kinda confused because I'm not sure if it's the model breakdown or serial # breakdown chart they list. Reason it's confusing is if I go by the model # it says it's a 73 colt 400 free air but no pictures of other colts look like mine, plus the guy I bought it from said it was a custom 400? I have the mfg date, serial #, and model # from plate on sled.

    Custom's were made that year. They have a TX style seat, I had a 73 Custom 530 as well so I do know they exist. Check over on vintagesleds.com too
    2001 XC 700 - 1.25x121, C&A
    2001 XC 500 - Full Carl's 660 kit, 1.25x121
    A few others too...
