    heres the easy way to get the belt off, grab the inner sheeve
    pull up on it (ie.. turn it clock wise)

    while holding the sheeve in place pull up on the belt,
    this will bring the belt up into the clutch giving you ALOT of slack

    then ya just roll the belt off,
    [attachment=14612]
    use the impact to take out the clutch bolt
    [attachment=14613]
    IMPORTANT!!!! PUT GREASE ON THE THREADS OF THE PULLER
    (i sell the pullers ALL NEW for every sled & atv for 28.00

    after ya get the puller put in hand tight hit it with the gun
    DO NOT HOLD THE TRIGER CONSTANTLY,

    a few pulls on the triger then whack it, DO NOT WHALE ON IT,
    just wack it,then impact, then wack,then impact, it will come off

    after the clutch comes off, TAKE THE PULLER OUT BY HAND,
    [attachment=14618]
    take the clutch to the bench and put it in the clutch press
    i sell SLP PRESSES NEW for cat's doo's polaris 56.00 EA.

    COMPRESS THE CLUTCH AND PUT THE CHAIN ON

    Take out all the cover bolts
    [attachment=14621]
    let the press open SLOWLY, take off the cover, take out the spring
    [attachment=14622]
    push out all the clutch weight pins
    [attachment=14623]
    undo the roller pin bolts
    [attachment=14624]
    if they are sticky, put the nut 1/2 way on and tap the bolt out
    [attachment=14625]
    use a pick and pull out the plastic spider slides
    [attachment=14626]
    use the clutch weight bushing remove/install tool,
    take out all the old bushings
    [attachment=14627]
    ummmm. lets see... 45.00 for new weights, 15.00 for bushing set.
    do the math, ONLY thing diffrent between new and re-bushed is 30.00

    IMPORTANT... DONT BE IN IDIOT.... DO NOT TRY TO DRY FIT NEW BUSHING
    i use a littel bit of lithium grease, IF YOUR A "GOMER PILE" AND TRY
    TO DRY FIT IT IT... ya will trash the bushing.

    ALSO.... DONT BE A DUMB ASS... look CLOSELY at the weight, on one
    side there will be a lip in the hole, DO NOT DRIVE THE BUSHING in
    this side, i GARRENTEE ya will trash your new bushing.

    LOOK CLOSELY there aint no "lip" on this side, install the bushing
    in this side.

    Use the bushing install/remove tool to do this, it can be done with
    out it, BUT you will damage the bushing with out the tool. i do sell
    these for 10.00

    there are 2 steel washers that go on either side of the weight,
    [attachment=14637]
    Use a weight pin guide tool (made for polaris & cat pins) it will
    save ya ALOT of frustration and time
    [attachment=14638]
    tae your new weight pins and install them,
    [attachment=14639]
    ok... now for the rollers, in yamahas (*INFANIT WISDOM*) dumb ass ingeneers, they put a bushing in the rollers AND YAMAHA DONT sell
    the rollers with them installed, IDIOTS..... so use a little lithium
    on the bushing, DONT BEE AN IDIOT and dry install them.

    just use the other end of the tool to install the bushing, DO NOT
    use the same end ya used to remove them USE THE OTHER END TO INSTALL

    THERE IS 2 washers (plastis/fiber) that go on either side of the
    roller, set the clutch on its side, this will make life ALOT easer

    slide them in,

    this is the pinthat gos in the roller on the spider
    [attachment=14645]
    some times they will be stuck, especialy on older clutches, use
    a vise grip and JUST enough pressure to keep it from spinning,
    give it a few turns with the wrench, pull it off, put new dowel on.

    with the clutch still on its side, install the roller pin/dowels.
    [attachment=14647]
    put the clutch back on its up right and tighten up all the nuts
    [attachment=14648]
    put clutch back in press,put spring in,
    [attachment=14649]
    put cover plate on, press it together put chain on safty hook
    [attachment=14650]
    tighten the cover bolts, GO A LITTLE BIT ON EACH BOLT, check that
    THE WEIGHT PINS DONT CATCH THE SKIRT OF THE COVER.....

    when you impact the clutch bolt out what do you do to keep the clutch from spinning??

    instead if impact I use a piece off old starter rope in a cyl to stop piston from turning then use ratchet . safer than impact incase you feel torquey lol.
    how do you do the newer style phazer clutch? and the weights are not he same for old style to new are they?
    I have a clutch set up for psi pipe and I have stock pipe so now in bogs some is it hte spring or wheight change too?

    got an old 91 phazer for almost nothing and the clutch is stuck in the engaged pos. ideas where to start? rebuild it? replace it?
