Failed to mention it's a 2005
Anyone have a front shock for the rear skid of my buddy's iqr they would part with? Looking to get this sled back together before the snow flys
Hey guys, a friend of mine just picked up an 05 IQr 440 with what I believe is an 03 pro x 600 motor.
It was running like crap at first, popping and backfiring after about 1/4 throttle, flames...
Do your carbs ever get frosty? Make sure your airbox is free of snow and ice. One of my revs had similar problems because the foam in the intake wasn't fine enough and it would ingest snow and ice...
Got it for $50!
Correct, no oil injection.
I bought the sled in the summertime and didn't have any real run time on it previous to the problem. After the purchase I went threw the whole sled; carbs, clutches,...
I changed the plugs, set the idle screws to 7 turns out and air screws to 1 turn out. It ran well for a little bit when it was running on both cylinders! but now always fouls a plug and drops down on...
10-4, I'll put a new set of plugs in it and I think I'm going to try backing the air screws out a tad just to see what happens. Thanks for the input
running a 310 main, 30 pilot, trail needles in middle groove, air screw .5-3/4 turn OUT, roughly -10* C
I'd really appreciate it if anyone could point me in the right direction
Hey guys, my 07 440 started off having a high idle so I adjusted the air screw accordingly and ended up jetting from a 25 to a 30 pilot. That fixed my problem temporarily but now sometimes it idles...
Just wanted to show off a sled I picked up this week from a guy I work with! He was unsure of the year but I believe its a 1974 Arctic cat Panther 340 twin with a mikuni carb.
I find it funny how...
What year is this jag?
Maybe your plug wires are bad, seems to me like you've checked the most important components, keep working away at the small things now and you'll find your problem.
5500 was a 500 fan, 7500 was a 340 liquid with twin pipes, 9500 was 440 liquid with twins also
could be the brake rotor rattling on the shaft also, my rev does anyways
What kind of riding do you do? I'm biased towards the 440, I just bought a 2007 yesterday
I have changed a few weight bushings at the sled shop I worked at. Unless im mistaken your's shouldn't be any different.
I used a steped bolt with smaller thread diameter then the shaft of the...
That's a scam!!!! A friend of mine was told the exact same thing this week about his truck and they suckered him out of $1600. They make the emails look like the real PayPal and everything but he...
The sled has almost 10 000 km on it so I'm just assuming if it hasn't been done already it will need a crank. But your right I won't know until I take it apart. Thanks for the comments guys! I'd...
I'm not in a big rush with this sled so once I pull the motor out if another complete one comes up for sale for a good price ill grab it. I know cylinders will be at LEAST $350 each, a crank $500...
Here's a few pics, let me know what you think!
very burnt haha
The motor seized from the heat, thats why im looking for new already. The track isnt in to bad of shape, just heard a rumor they poke the exchanger often, still diging into the sled.
Hey guys, I recently picked up an 02 mxz 800 for $500 off my uncle. He was out riding and somehow all the coolant leaked out and the sled overheated.
I was told after buying the sled these zx...
I agree with that^
Make sure your connections are all properly pluged in. A few weeks ago i helped put a new motor in my friends 03 600HO rev, the motor came from a running sled and we used the...
1989 Tundra 250 Still ride it every now and again.
Now i just got my first real ride on my 95 ZR440 after redoing the motor
Ive looked on a few mto websides and they tell you what the new standards are for the 1988 and newer vehicles but nothing on older then 88 -_-
