I have a 01 XC800 that I have been getting ready for the season...I just bought it, I removed a 4" bar riser and the throttle cable extentions....Now, It will start and run, but as soon as I let go of the throttle it dies like someone is hitting the kill switch...Just as fast I can take the slack out of the cable with throttle and it is back running. I have tried to adjust idle up and it will adjust as long as I have my hand on the throttle...let go and it dies. Is thier a electronic cut out if it see to much play in the throttle cable? I am guessing I will need to take the bar cover off and see if thier is an adjuster in thier or if its just down by the carb....any thoughts? been a while since I have worked on a polaris.
