i saw one of these in person for the first time yesterday. i love it!!!! utilize the seating and handlebar positions into production sleds, and polaris wouldn't be able to sell enough. it's nothing like i've ever sat on before. all it needs for me is a touch higher windshield, oil injection, a larger fuel tank, and the ability to run on pump gas. anybody rode one?

All of those things you wished for, you can get. Polaris sells different heads so you don't have to run 110 racing fuel and they also can put an oil injection system and a 10 gal fuel tank on for ya. You can get a windshield just about anywhere, so if you can get your hands on one, it won't be to hard to get it like you want it.

That's got the gas tank that you could slide into or land on the filler and crush your nuts too easy. I dunno know, maybe it's not as easy as it looks??

Yeah, when i looked at that sled at the dealer, i also thought that the gas tank would find a way to pound you right where it counts!

that worried me a bit too- coulnd't they move it to the edge a bit or somethin? with all those upgrades pooly31 mentioned, this is about the ultimate sled from polaris. why can't they incorporate the seating postion and handlebars into the new pro x 600? shouldn't be too hard. and how about them walker-evans shocks too? although i gotta say, the saddleless skis are pretty cool, and the red white and blue design scheme

Well, I hate to say it, but my '02 Pro X has been nothing but friggin JUNK!I got the fan model, same chassis as the 600 and it's a piece of shit.I just got back from dropping it off at the dealer.That's the 6th time I've been there and the thing still don't run right.JUNK!Too bad, I love the chassis and was sure I ordered the perfect sled for me, but it's been a never ending stream of disappiontments.I'm some glad I didn't trade my old sled in so I can still ride, or I would have lost my mind by now.Polaris: The wat out (of my friggin mind!)Someone please shoot me.

you must have got a lemon, cuz i haven't heard any other stories like yours. maybe it's just me though. what has gone wrong with your sled?

The day I went to pick it up, it broke down before it could even get on the truck.They said it burned out the stator.Then they recalled the coil.Then they recalled the CDI.Then, as soon as we get good snow, it breaks down again.I can't even believe this bull shite anymore.I thin I'll name this sled "MISERY".

Sorry to hear about your mishaps with that sled man.....It's never cool to spend tons of cash on something you can't use

Yeah, I've been talkin to people at school and there are a couple of '02 pro X fans here, they love their sleds, they have around 300 to 400 miles on them and not 1 problem yet.

My neighbor bought a pro x 440 fan and he hasnt had a bit of troubke yet. And i hope it doesn't cause i plan on buying it.
