I run 480's at near sea level to about 1000 ft on a 800 witch is about the same. I would think you could run that or at least 490's

I put 4600 miles on my 2002 Edge 700 and ran 480 mains down to -0's and used 470 mains from 20-35 F and used 460 on 35 F + days. All of my riding is done from 1000 ft - 2000 ft. The factory jetting is always rich. I would take the chart and drop 1 - 3 sizes down depending on temp.

I ran 470's before tempa flow. I have some dalton clutching but the most proven and best all around set up for 02 700 is:

480's, almond-blue primary, 10-64's, stock secondary or HSP 36X helix. 25/41 gears for max speed, lots-o-studs or a 1-1/4" track use 23/39. Engine torque and push arms work well. Do not gut 02 air box.

^^^^^^ That is pretty much spot on to what I had on my 02 700. Only difference is I used EPI springs, helix and weights. I also installed V-Force III reeds and 192 studs with a 1" track. The 700's responded well to V-force reeds, better than my 800. The valved 700's were fast! It was faster than my cousins old 02 ZR 800!

I have EPI yellow primary(165-310), 10-68 daltons, Moly impregnated R12 and Silver-Blue #3. Riding with a buddy wed who has a Flannery triple edge who could not get over the acceleration and mid pull mine had. The Daltons rock!! I have 23/39 and runs well into overdrive and burys speedo.

700 edges are good, 02's are hot.
