If you had to vote, what was the first true 100 horsepower sled...
Factory consumer snowmobile, stock pipe(s), porting, etc. The first sled you could open the hood and confidently say it's got 100 horses from the factory:

Wildcat 650
Indy 650
Mach 1 617
Other?

Any thoughts?

Probably the 88 wildcat 650. Before that there was a lot of sleds in the 90s hp range, a notable oldie is the 77 Yamaha SRX 440 at 96hp.

Centurion was only around 80hp. Was still fast for its time.

1988 Wildcat 650 was 108hp. I can't think of anything before that year that broke 100hp in production form.

Closest Contenders
1988 Indy 650- 95hp
1988 Exciter 570-85hp
1988 formula plus-89hp

And the Wildcat is a little bit of a "ringer" in that it's twin piped from the factory and not exactly known for reliability haha

First sleds with 100 hp with single pipe?
91 Indy 650 (rxl or carb) or Mach 1 617?
I don't think any 583 ever made a true 100

Looks like 88-91 goes to the Wildcat.
91 Indy 650 and Mach 1 617 were close.
92- Yamaha blows away everyone with the VMax.
93- triple triples!! Shit gets real!

That was a pretty awesome time for performance sleds. By the mid 90s every mfg had a 150 hp monster muscle sled.
