I'm looking into getting into racing my 1982 Yamaha SS 440 in some vintage sled drags this winter. I put in a new motor in it a couple winters ago, also put a new comet clutch in it last winter. Do any of you guys have any ideas on how to get any more hp out of it?

Is the comet setup at OEM? Change the spring or weights for a higher engagement rpm.

i am not sure if the setup is at OEM? This clutch is engaging too early and is causing the sled to bog off the start, should I change to a stiffer spring or use lighter weights?
