I've got a 1990 Prowler. Last year i put a new motor in it. From a 98 ZL 440. It doesn't have much low end power. I've tried cleaning the carbs and i put the jets from the 98 carbs into the 1990 carbs and still no power at low end. I've drained all the fuel and replaced with fresh fuel. Once the sled gets moving and the rpms finally jump up then it has more power. Sometimes when i hit the throttle it just about dies. Anyone have any idea what could be the problem? Its got new plugs. Thanks

why didnt you just use the carbs that were on the 98 to begin with?im guessing that the carbs from the 90 arent enough for it or something...

The carbs from the 98 were too tall to fit. The float bowls would hit on the chassis and the carb wouldn't sit on the flange right. The motor sits lower in the chassis on the prowler than it did on the ZL.
