Hi, I have a 1993 polaris 580 and putting new piston and rings in. No problem doing that, but with the kit I have no head gasket and cannot seem to find one..My dealer told me there is 3 o-rings to put on. The gasket that I took off was a metal on piece..Just wondering how the water jackets seal, so i use silicone? I have 3 individual heads, not a one piece.

i THINK all stock ones came with the one piece, so you must have aftermarket heads, is there a ring grove in the head for an o-ring to sit?
as for the waterjacket, theres a large o-ring type gasket that seals all the way around the outside and should have 3 o-rings, 1 for each cylinder where the plug comes up through the water jacket.

93 and 94 580s had a one peice head and used 3 o rings for head gaskets. 95 and newer 600s have three seperate heads and use a single steal head gasket. I think you have a 600 not a 580, someone swapped it in at some point. Both motors look identical
