For a sled built in 96 it was a great sled. Todays 600's put out more power than Wildcat 700 Efi. It is a piston port not a case reed motor so it doesn't have the same level of perforance as the other 700's on the market. A/C made some major changes in there line up in 99 including going to the ETT tunnel on all models which allowed for an additional 5" of rear suspension.
The Wildcat is a descent performer for its age, and if the price is right you will probably be pretty happy with it. But don't expect to leave any of the newer 700's behind on the lake.
