The only area to mod that is worthwhile is clutching and gearing, it is inexpensive and quite effective. Yeah you get get a pipe, but at $400 or more, what's the point? If you want to go fast, don't buy a supersport. Simple as that. Just remember that there's no replacement for displacement.
I agree, clutch it, stud it and ride it that is about all you can do with the old 488 Fan unless you have tons of money to throw at it and by the time you do that you could have had a 600 liquid that would kick the sheeite out of it.
Here is an easy mod, take the one piece seat and tank off and put an edge seat and tank on. Easiest seat swap and it looks a lot better and is much more comfortable. This is a very easy improvement and gives you great results.
